Amazing Testimonials From Our Clients
How Outdoor Team Building Works
Your questions answered when it come to how we run fantastic team buildings. FAQ.
The current situation means we can no longer do our in person team building event. Should we just cancel?
Good question. The rules are constantly changing right now and any ‘in person’ event needs to be carefully planned. If the rules suddenly change-making face-to-face events impossible we can either swap over to a virtual event or change the date to a time in the future when we think restrictions will ease. Jambar Team Building offers 16 virtual team building activities and games in Singapore that you can consider as an alternative option. Contact us for more information!
Whats a good duration for an outdoor team building?
Longer isn’t always better for outdoor events in Singapore. We recommend about 2.5-3 hours if the event is fully outdoors. After that people tend to get a bit uncomfortable in the heat and the team building looses a bit of its effectiveness.
Can you suggest any outdoor locations in Singapore?
We never know exactly if the weather will be kind to us in Singapore so most of our recommended outdoor locations have a sheltered area for at least the meeting point. Good locations include Resorts World Sentosa or Clarke Quay, but we have many others we can suggest.
What do we need to wear and bring or an outdoor or indoor team building?
Firstly if possible, dress comfortably and practically. Whether indoors or outdoors, team building often includes some type of movement or physical activity. Trainers are great for the feet, t-shirt and shorts or comfortable trousers for the rest of the body. For the ladies we advise to avoid skirts of any kind. Other typical items are useful. A jumper if you get cold in air conditioned rooms or a change of t-shirt if your event is an all day event. Mosquito spray and suntan creme if outdoors & Water for hydration. A small rucksack is also good for carrying items around.
How many people should we put in a team?
For out door events 4-8 pax per team is a good number. We sometimes have companies that ask for larger team sizes like 10-12. We can do it, but we find people enjoy the experience more in smaller teams.
I’m arranging the event, does this mean I can’t play?
Not at all, we would love you to play and experience the activities. In fact on the event day, we have everything covered, so it’s totally up to you!
Can someone from our team make a speech?
Definitely, simply let us know who and when and we will help with the rest. Just bear in mind that for outdoor events with larger groups it can be a bit tricky to be heard well even with a microphone, so keep them short and sweet!
Are there any limitation for the number of people attending?
Not really, we have run outdoor events with over 1000 pax, but finding the right venue and protecting it from inclement weather can be tricky in Singapore with big groups, so speak to us as early as possible. If you event is around 100 pax or less then its pretty easy for us to suggest several venues.
Are your icebreakers good?
We like to think so, in fact, in our feedback form people often mention the quality of our icebreakers. A lot of success with icebreakers comes down to the Faciliator. A great facilitator will bring out the fun and learning in almost any warm up game making them feel worthwhile and interesting.
Are prizes a good thing in team building?
They can be, but generally when they are not too expensive or glamorous. The moment prizes become something that people really want, their focus becoming on winning the prize and no so much about having fun and experiences the intended outcomes. Simple vouchers worth a few dollars per person are easily good enough.
How far in advance do you need our booking confirmation?
We often do have clients the give us last minute notice, like 1 to 2 days only, but in order to have a stress free event for everyone 1 to 2 weeks is ideal, depending on our availability and the size of your group.
Does Jambar Team Building offer indoor team building activities in Singapore?
Yes, we offer 18 different indoor team building activities in Singapore both for big groups and small ones. Overall location and duration depend on the exact indoor team building activity or game you would choose, as some are slightly longer than others.
