How Indoor Team Building Works
Your questions answered when it come to how we run fantastic team buildings. FAQ.
The current situation makes it tricky to arrange an indoor event. What should we do?
Great Question. While we can’t predict exactly how the rules will continue to change in Singapore, we understand the issue. We provide all our clients with the option to postpone the event or convert to a virtual event if in person events are not possible.
What’s the idea time span for an indoor team building event?
We have run lots and lots of indoor events. In general 2-4 hours is great for a half day event, between 9am-12pm for a morning session or 2pm-6pm for an afternoon session. Overall duration depends on the exact activity chosen as some are slightly longer than others.
What locations to you recommend for indoor team building?
Most indoor events are held in a hotel function rooms or conference centres, we have a large number of contacts in the industry in Singapore at a range of different prices to fit your budget. Alternatively it is possible to hold an indoor team building directly in your office if there is enough space. That will depend on the type of activity chosen.
Should be bring any special items to the indoor team building?
Indoor team building doesn’t require any special clothing or other items. However there can still be some general moving around, so for ladies we recommend trousers and flat shoes.
How big should our team size be for indoor team building?
Aim for 6 people in a team as a starting point. This does mean that we normally require a bit more space than a classical dining set up with 10 per table in a function room, but people do have more fun in slightly smaller teams.
Im the Organsier can I join in aswell?
Please do join! We love to have as many people as possible from your team join your event, including the organisers. We have everything set up on the event day to run the whole show without you, so get ready to have some fun!
We have a few people that want to make a speech, is that ok??
For indoor events, this is totally normal. Just let us know who and when, and our facilitator will queue them in at the right moment.
How many people can join an indoor event.
Typically this is only limited by the space available at the venue, rather than our activities. We have run indoor events with over 1000pax, but there are relatively few of these venues in Singapore and they are often booked months in advance, so booking early is key! If you are around 100pax or smaller there are plenty of venues available, talk to us and we will let you know our preferred ones.
Do we have to do icebreakers?
We understand that you may have experienced some poorly delivered and generic icebreakers in the past. A lot of the success of these depends on the facilitator, if they are well introduced with a nice learning outcome they really do make a positive impact on the event. If you trust us a bit here you will find that your team really likes what we have to offer and it may chance your mind on icebreakers in the future.
Do you recommend any prizes for teams?
We recommend simple inexpensive prizes like gift vouchers. This means that people keep focused on the fun and outcomes of the indoor team building and not just on trying to win an amazing prize.
Do I need to book months in advance?
While we are busy, we have capacity to run multiple events at the same time. 1 to 2 weeks lead time is enough for most groups. The bigger the group size the more time required, especially if we need to book a venue.
