Some of this, your IP address in particular, can constitute personal data under the PDPA, and we treat it accordingly.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies such as pixels and tracking tags to:

  • Keep the site working properly and remember your preferences
  • Understand which pages are popular so we can improve them
  • Measure the performance of our advertising

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change your settings to block or delete them. If you block cookies, parts of the site may not work as smoothly.

We use third-party analytics and advertising services, which may set their own cookies. These currently include tools such as Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) advertising tools. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

We use your personal data to:

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Consent

We collect, use, and disclose your personal data with your consent, or where the PDPA otherwise permits or requires it. This includes situations where the data is necessary to fulfil a contract with you, or to comply with a legal obligation.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@jambarteambuilding.com. We’ll action your request within a reasonable time and let you know if withdrawal affects our ability to deliver a service you’ve booked. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

6. Marketing communications

We may send you marketing emails if you have enquired about our services, or if you have taken part in one of our events and given us your contact details directly, for example through a feedback form.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us at any time to opt out. We’ll action opt-out requests promptly and in any case within the timeframe required by Singapore’s Spam Control Act.

We do not carry out phone, SMS, or fax marketing. If you leave us a phone number, we will only use it to call you back about the enquiry or booking you made.

7. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only where it’s necessary, and only with:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our website host, email and CRM platforms, analytics providers, payment processors, and event partners or facilitators involved in delivering your programme. They may only use your data to provide services to us.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers, where required.
  • Authorities and regulators, where we’re required to disclose data by law, or to protect our rights, our people, or our customers.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged, or reorganised, in which case personal data may transfer as part of that transaction.

We may also share aggregated, anonymised statistics that cannot identify you.

8. Payments

Payments made through our website are processed by a third-party payment provider [PROCESSOR NAME, e.g. Stripe or PayPal]. We do not collect or store your full card details on our systems. Your card information goes directly to the payment provider, who handles it under their own security standards and privacy policy.

9. Transfers outside Singapore

We’re based in Singapore and deliver events across Asia. Some of our service providers store or process data outside Singapore. Where we transfer your personal data overseas, we take steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA, usually through contractual commitments with the provider.

10. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires.

As a general guide:

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: up to 2 years
  • Client and booking records: for the duration of our relationship, plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes
  • Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe
  • Recruitment applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to keep them longer

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

11. Keeping your data secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. These include access controls, secure hosting, and limiting access to staff who need it.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. But we take our responsibility seriously, and we’d ask you to help by keeping any account details you hold with us safe and letting us know if your contact details change.

12. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in significant harm to you, or that affects a significant number of individuals, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals as required under the PDPA.

13. Your rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you, and information about how we’ve used it in the past year

  • Withdraw consent to our continued use of your data

To make a request, email info@jambarteambuilding.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We’ll respond within 30 days, or let you know if we need longer.

If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your request, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore at pdpc.gov.sg.

14. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and working professionals. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

15. Email and call records

We may keep records of emails and other communications with you, including enquiry correspondence and notes from calls, to help us deliver our services, maintain accurate records, and improve the quality of our work.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the revised version on this page and update the “last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly. We’d encourage you to check this page when you visit.
