A recent paper from Stanford and Harvard suggests that health issues arising from job stress can lead to conditions that kill more than 120,000 people per year. Not to speak of the huge negative effects that it has on relationships with families and colleagues.
Luckily there’s an inexpensive and very accessible stress antidote that most Fortune 500 companies have already introduced as part of their employees development: Mindfulness & Meditation.
Companies that have introduced these programs have already noticed a dramatic boost in productivity as a consequence of the improvement of their staff holistic health. Here are just a few areas of the benefits that Mindfulness and Meditation can bring to you and your employees:
Increase focus
Lack of focus is one of the biggest issues people are facing working from home. Practicing mindfulness & meditation has been shown to improve our ability to sustain attention and decrease distractions. Researchers from Harvard Medical School found that practising meditation leads to changes in brain regions involving learning and working memory capacity.
Manage anxiety and depression
Mindfulness & meditation can produce a 30% reduction in symptoms of stress among those with serious illnesses such as anxiety, depression, hypertension and even hearth disease. With mindfulness we can learn to manage those symptoms and even cure the source cause.
Improve Creativity and Problem Solving
Because practising meditation activates our right side of the brain and increases cognitive flexibility, practising mindfulness and mediation regularly opens our mind to creative ideas and improve our problem-solving skills.
Reduce conflicts
Mindfulness increases our emotional intelligence, with mindfulness & meditation we become more aware our own feeling and the one of people around us. This makes us more sympathetic and better able to express our emotions as well as better understand other people’s feelings. Consequently, our work and family relationships improve, leading to less conflict and a more positive work environment.
Our Program:
We start our sessions with some relaxation movements and breathing techniques to help the participants to relax and reach a state of calmness, reducing potential nervousness, distraction, anxiety, anger or stress.
Then it will be time to sit back, close the eyes and relax and only focus on the soothing music and calming voice of our professional facilitator that will safely guide the participants through a pleasant imaginary journey inviting them to reflect on positive thoughts and mindset and overall feeling of wellness.
We conclude this memorable session inviting the participants to appreciate each other and share their experiences, but only if they wish to do so.
Our facilitator:
This session will be conducted by our NLP & Hypnosis Certified Trainer Barbara Maneschi. Barbara has 10 years of experience in guided meditation and coaching and very experienced in facilitating team bonding sessions remotely.
