Team Communication
Get your team communicating clearly
So much team friction traces back to communication. Messages misread, assumptions left unspoken, people talking past each other. This Growth day helps your team understand how each person communicates, then build the habits to do it better every day.
Choose your activity
Team building activities built to enhance communication in teams
Two hands-on experiences that put communication front and centre, then we wrap the same guided reflection around it.
We can sell it
We Can Sell It is a high-energy game show where teams compete to create and pitch the most compelling advertising ideas. Each team brainstorms and presents three marketing pitches across three channels. A catchy print ad, a persuasive radio monologue and a live TV-style commercial, while refining their storytelling, presentation and collaboration under time pressure. Teams then vote on the most original, best-presented pitch, making it a brilliant, fun way to sharpen how a team communicates, persuades and presents as one.
Collaborate!
Only those teams who learn to set aside their differences stand a chance to win Collaborate, an interactive team building exercise unlike any other. Collaborate is a mission-rich peer bonding activity with a twist: competing teams must work together to maximise their scores. Teams are spread out and each team receives tasks, questions, and other quirky, fun-filled assignments in a mobile app. Accomplish each mission to earn your team points. On some of these missions, however, you’ll need to interact with rival teams, then work with them to accomplish your assignments.
Not sure which fits? Tell us how your team communicates and we’ll recommend the right activity or profiling session.
Profiling sessions
Or start with a free profiling session
Great communication starts with understanding yourself and each other. Kick off with a complimentary profiling session that maps how your team thinks, communicates and works.
Free DISC Profiling
Map each person’s behavioural style across Dominance, Influence, Steadiness & Conscientiousness DISC profiles, and learn to flex your approach to communicate well with anyone.
Free MBTI Profiling
Reveal how people take in information and make decisions across 16 different personality types, so the team understands and adapts to each others styles.
Free Strengths Profiling
Uncover each person’s natural strengths and how they show up day to day, so the team can play to what everyone does best, share the load well, and communicate better with each other.
who is this growth day for
For teams that keep talking past each other
If any of these sound like your team, a communication day helps them truly connect.
Different communication styles quietly cause friction
The same points get repeated because they didn’t land the first time
People assume others already know things that were never actually said
Messages get misread and tone is taken the wrong way
Important updates get lost between people, teams or channels
Communication that clicks
What your team
walks away with
Through hands-on challenges and guided reflection, the team learns how each person communicates, then builds the habits to do it better back at work.
Understand each others style
See how each person prefers to communicate, and adapt to meet them.
Say it clearly
Get the message across the first time, without the back-and-forth.
Listen honestly
Hear what’s actually meant, not just what’s said.
Surface the unspoken
Make assumptions and expectations explicit before they cause friction.
Give better feedback
Share feedback in a way that’s heard, not resisted.
Create a shared language
Build common ground so conversations stop talking past each other.
How a growth day works
The activity changes. The method doesn’t.
Whichever activity you choose, we wrap it in the same Frame → Pause → Commit method, so the day stays fun, but the communication lessons actually stick.
Deep, hands-on facilitation. Facilitators draw out the learning at every step.
1
Pre-frame
Set the mindset for the day: be focused, curious, present and open to being vulnerable.
2
Targeted outcome
Facilitated discussion with videos & slides to name the one thing the team will focus on in the activity.
3
The activity
Run the experience with that focus front of mind, so the lesson plays out in real time.
4
Guided reflection
What did you notice? What went well? Were you able to hold the focus? Facilitators turn the experience into insight.
5
Moving forward
Build a concrete action plan for putting the learning to work back in the office.
A worksheet runs through every step, from pre-frame to forming the action plan at the end.
Let’s design your teams growth day
Tell us the outcome you’re chasing and the team you’re bringing. We’ll shape a day that delivers it and is genuinely good fun along the way.
