Leading teams
Turn managers into leaders people want to follow
Great managers aren’t born, they’re grown. This Growth day builds the skills and self-awareness your team leads need to bring out the best in the people around them.
Choose your activity
Four team building activities built for
leading teams
Each one gives the team a real challenge to work through together, then we wrap the same guided reflection around it. Pick the one that fits your group, or ask us to recommend.
Running Man Challenge
The Running Man Challenge brings the high-octane energy of the South Korean game show to life, plunging teams into a “weird and wild” circuit of quirky, station-based missions. As groups navigate the course, they encounter a volatile mix of head-to-head battles, independent tasks, and collaborative coupled challenges where their scores are tied to their rivals. This fast-paced adventure shatters standard corporate dynamics, replacing them with a laughter-filled race where the only way to win is to embrace the unexpected and master the art of the quick tactical shift.
Starbound
Step onto the bridge of a struggling starship where the stakes are high and the clock is relentless. In this immersive simulation, your team must navigate a series of escalating crises where every voice matters, but only collective action ensures survival. It’s a fast-paced test of advocacy, leadership, and the art of staying calm while the alarms are sounding.
The Tailor
In this creativity fuelled activity teams are assigned a product owner and will be given materials to design a clothing outfit for a client. The activity is divided into various fabrication rounds or sprints and each team has to demo what they were working on at the end of each sprint. Teams have to work together in an agile manner by creatively interpreting and adapting to the clients requirements based on the questions they get to ask at the end of each sprint. Teams will be challenged with changes in the product design as they race together to bring clients vision to life.
Virus Challenge
In this board-game-based simulation, teams act as a global health organization tasked with eradicating lethal outbreaks before they paralyze the world. Each member wields a unique, specialized skill set, requiring the group to reach a fast consensus and optimize individual strengths to stave off the next epidemic. This high-pressure mission forces participants to handle sudden adversity and shifting priorities as they race against both the clock and rival teams. By working toward a shared cure, colleagues develop deep cooperative bonds and realize that clear, synchronized communication is the only way to navigate a global crisis.

How a growth day works
The activity changes. The method doesn’t.
Whichever activity you choose, we wrap it in the same Frame → Pause → Commit method, so the day stays fun, but the leadership lessons actually stick.
Deep, hands-on facilitation. Facilitators draw out the learning at every step.
1
Pre-frame
Set the mindset for the day: be focused, curious, present and open to being vulnerable.
2
Targeted outcome
Facilitated discussion with videos & slides to name the one thing the team will focus on in the activity.
3
The activity
Run the experience with that focus front of mind, so the lesson plays out in real time.
4
Guided reflection
What did you notice? What went well? Were you able to hold the focus? Facilitators turn the experience into insight.
5
Moving forward
Build a concrete action plan for putting the learning to work back in the office.
A worksheet runs through every step, from pre-frame to forming the action plan at the end.
