AI Team building activities

Get hands-on with AI, as a team!

Hands-on experiences that turn AI from a buzzword into an everyday, practical skill. Your team learns together by creating, solving and playing with useful and practical AI tools, reshaping how we all work.

Most people have already tried AI, a few prompts here, a bit of tinkering there. The real gap is turning that casual dabbling into practical use that actually moves work forward, and doing it as a team rather than in scattered pockets. Our AI team building activities close that gap, dropping your people into safe, playful, high-energy challenges where they apply real AI tools to real tasks, together. Whether you want an outdoor adventure, a bespoke whodunit or a future-ready workshop, there’s an experience to meet your team exactly where they are.

Why ai team building

Confidence comes from doing, not watching

The gap between teams that thrive with AI and those that fear it isn’t technical, it’s confidence. Our sessions close that gap in a single, memorable event, giving everyone hands-on wins with real tools so they leave ready to bring AI into their everyday work.

Hands-on, not theory

Everyone actively uses AI tools. No lectures, no watching from the back.

Builds real confidence

Teams step up from simple tasks to advanced ones as momentum grows.

Fun and collaborative

Playful challenges bond the team while the learning happens naturally.

Connected to work

Challenges mirror everyday scenarios, so skills transfer straight back.

Frequently Asked Questions, answered

Do our people need to know anything about AI already?

Not at all! Each activity is designed for the person who has never opened an AI tool sitting right alongside the person who uses one daily, and both get plenty out of the session. There are no accounts to set up (we take care of that) and no reading beforehand. Everything is prepped before the event, so your team simply turns up and joins in.

What kind of AI tools will our team actually use?

A fun mix! Across the three experiences, teams work with tools for generating text, images, music, video avatars and simple no code apps. More Than Meets The AI is the most hands on: teams compose a team anthem, build a playable game in under twenty minutes using no code AI, and produce multilingual training videos with digital avatars. AI in the Wild has teams create, analyse and test with a range of tools across outdoor stations. AI Murder Mystery uses AI to build the case itself, with suspects your team interrogates in natural language. Everything runs in a browser on the day.

Our company restricts which AI tools staff can use. Does that rule us out?

Not at all, and we’re happy to work around it! Just tell us early rather than late. If your organisation has an AI policy or a blocked tools list, send it over when you enquire and we’ll build the session around it. Your team takes part on their own smartphones and laptops, and we set up the accounts for whichever tools the session needs, so nobody has to sign up for anything themselves. The one thing to flag is company managed laptops with sites blocked at network level, because that can get in the way on the day. It’s straightforward to work around once we know, which is why the earlier you mention it, the better.

Will our people be putting company information into these tools?

Not unless you want them to! The challenges run on invented scenarios rather than your real data, so your team can work through all of them without touching anything confidential. If you’d prefer them to apply it closer to home, that’s a decision worth making before the day. The exception is AI Murder Mystery, which is built around your workplace, and what we ask for is covered on that activity’s page.

Some of our team think AI is coming for their jobs. Will a session like this make that worse?

It tends to do the opposite, and not by arguing with anyone! Your team spends a couple of hours using AI tools, and most people find the thing they were bracing for is smaller and more ordinary than they imagined, with obvious limits. It offers a fresh perspective on AI that people can look forward to, and they get to experience it for themselves. Having said that, we have run session with a mix of learning and fun AI activities to play so just let know your wish and we’ll make it happen.

Is this real AI training, or just a game with AI in it?

It’s a team building activity first, and what it does brilliantly is remove the flinch: people who have avoided AI try it in a low stakes setting, discover it isn’t difficult, and leave with a few things they’ll actually try at work. If you need genuine capability change across a team, rather than a great half day that happens to involve AI, our AI Confidence growth day is the one. It uses the same activities built around structured reflection, and the day ends in commitments.

Which of the three activities should we choose?

Pick by how much AI your team has already touched, rather than how technical they are! If most of them have barely tried it, More Than Meets The AI is the one, since the whole session is structured hands on time. If you want a great day out that happens to run on AI, AI Murder Mystery turns your own company into the case. And if you’d rather be outside, AI in the Wild puts the same work into stations across an outdoor course.

Do people need their own devices, and do we need a venue?

Yes to devices, so please ask people to bring their smartphones and laptops and arrive charged! We don’t supply devices, but we do set up the accounts for whatever tools the session needs. A venue is needed for More Than Meets The AI and AI Murder Mystery. What matters most there is a WiFi connection everyone can get onto, because a room full of people using AI tools at once will struggle on a weak guest WiFi. Tell us the venue when you book and we’ll check it’s up to the job.
