Unlock your organisation’s purpose
Bring your team together to make a powerful impact. In this hands-on experience, teams assemble solar solutions that provide safe, reliable light to communities in need while exploring the realities of energy poverty and discovering how simple, innovative solar technology is transforming lives around the world. At the heart of the session is the Bright Futures Bundle, a solar-powered kit that goes far beyond light. Its USB charging ports keep essential devices operational, and two solar head torches give families hands-free illumination to study, cook and navigate evening chores safely. In doing so, each bundle helps bridge the digital divide, unlocking access to online learning, digital communication and market information for people regardless of geographical or economic barriers.

Program details
Solar Buddy – Bright Futures is a deeply rewarding, hands-on session that connects your team to a cause far bigger than the room. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the program opens with a compelling presentation on energy poverty, before each participant assembles their own Bright Futures Bundle and writes a personal letter to the community who will receive it packaged together as a gift of light.
It’s a one-of-a-kind team build that fosters collaboration, builds inter-cultural understanding and sharpens critical thinking, all while delivering genuine, measurable social impact (SROI), and the gifted devices can last over 15 years. Once the session ends, every bundle is collected, quality-checked and shipped internationally to a country living in energy poverty, where SolarBuddy’s in-country NGO partner places the gift of light directly into the hands of the children who need it most.
Join us at Jambar for a day that promises not just team building, but also the chance to create a tangible impact on global sustainability.

Frequently Asked Questions, answered
What happens in Bright Futures?
Teams build solar devices that are sent directly to communities living without reliable power, while learning about energy poverty. It’s a CSR activity where your team’s output makes a real difference.
Is this only available through Jambar?
Yes, Solar Buddy runs exclusively with us in Singapore.
How is it different from The Hour of Power?
Both are Solar Buddy programs. Bright Futures is more in-depth, while The Hour of Power fits shorter agendas. We’ll advise which suits your group best.
Where do the devices actually go?
Straight to families in need worldwide. Each device travels with a personal letter from your team, creating a lasting human connection.
Can we run it in our own office, or do we need a venue?
Either works, all you need is tables for teams to build together, a projector and a screen.
