Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap challenges your engineering abilities and your skills as a team player
A snapshot of the activities characteristics on how it may impact your team
Driving collective success through synchronized engineering
Bridging the Gap is a high-stakes engineering challenge where teams must design and construct functional racetrack segments using limited materials like dowels and cardboard. Under a tight deadline, participants must meet strict technical specifications before their individual sections are joined to form a complete circuit for a high-octane remote-control car Grand Prix. This fast-paced exercise forces teams to master resource management and rapid communication while navigating unexpected obstacles. It serves as a powerful metaphor for cross-departmental alignment, proving that the success of the final product depends entirely on the seamless integration of every team’s contribution.

Program details
Bridging the Gap challenges your engineering abilities and your skills as a team player. One of Jambar’s trademark creative activities, this indoor challenge sees you and your teammates tasked with building a section of elevated racetrack out of simple materials.
At the start of this activity, teams are assigned a segment of racetrack with strict specifications. It’s up to you and your teammates to translate the materials at hand such as dowels, tape, and cardboard, into a functioning roadway.
The build phase will see your team bonding and forging new relationships as players race to build their section of bridge in the time allowed.
Following the build phase, the segments of track are chained together to form a full racetrack. Teams then present their work to one another, and each team is judged on their design and engineering results.
Then remote control cars are brought out, and teams engage in a mini-Grand Prix! Will you and your teammates burn rubber, or simply crash and burn?
Elevate your next corporate function with this exciting activity and build bridges between you and your colleagues.
As with all of our activities, Jambar offers customised content for Bridging the Gap. Talk to us about making this event completely unique for your team.
